Amazing how Tina can be arsey to the customers, throw a glass of wine over Tracy Luv and leave her post and still keep her job.

If she did those 3 things in a row in my local, even if it was the first time, she would be sacked on the spot and banned forever from the pub.

She's done similar things in the past, Tina is such a loathsome character.

I think because of the surrogacy she's been given a lot of slack but now she's endangered Rita's life with her antics I wonder if that slack will evaporate!

And I don't think they mind her drenching Tracey!!

I was going to make a new topic about this but saw this existed. As much as I like Tina, she is being sent home every other day for something! Wish I could get paid for doing that haha!

Without starting a new thread, its the same as the knicker factory , I have worked in a factory for nearly 40 years now , and what the staff in underworld get away with , well , talking, skiving , endless tea breaks, eating cakes , shouting at the management team ,

Sorry guys, its not like that in real life !! I would have been down the road years ago !! .

Hi Nigel,
And they can afford to go to the pub and Bistro (how I always laugh at having a Bistro on the cobbles) so much on such small wages never ceases to amaze me.

I wonder if people doubted the authenticity of a yuppy wine bar in Walford back in the 1980s.

Very true. Although Corrie factory has been like that since Baldwin ran it. In some 1984 episodes I have the staff such as Ivy, Vera, Ida were always gassing, half asleep, skiving and drinking alcohol at lunch then working on sewing machines afterwards.

They could well be based on some companies management.
Roll in late, take an extra long lunch hour and then go home early.

I think it's okay for them to talk as long as they are sewing at the same time. It must be so boring to do the same thing day in day out. The alcohol thing though is probably right, although I suppose the pub is a communal point in the street for some drama to go down between people who would not normally meet. Same in Emmerdale, drinking all the time.
